Project Description
The Client – Toyo Tires Europe is a division of a global manufacturer called Toyo Tires with operations spanning the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. Their core business is the manufacturing and selling of tyres for passenger vehicles, trucks, buses, and construction vehicles.
In a nutshell – Toyo wanted to give their dealers and distributors more information about their product range through a series of courses and quizzes. This gives those dealers more confidence in describing the benefits of each range. To encourage dealers to participate Toyo came up with a system of rewards based on progress through the course material.

After the successful initial launch in Germany, the modules were translated in to Polish and Greek along with the original English.
Each region has its own defined courses based on the ranges sold in their region, together with their own rewards system. The rewards systems have been automated so that each reward can be seamlessly fulfilled.
The Deliverables
We designed a new look and feel across the board that was true to the brand, whichever country you were in – and of course, reflected the native tongue of the region.
The courses were developed to help Toyo Tires Europe dealers and distributors understand in technical detail about various tire ranges. That understanding was cemented by quizzes at the end of each course. For each course completed successfully a certificate is issued automatically to the participant. And what’s more, we created a rewards system that notifies each participant of an award when they achieve a defined milestone. These awards consist of various items of clothing and vouchers.
With over 350 currently registered users, the system is proving very popular.
The Techie Bit – We built the system on the open source Moodle LMS framework and created SCORM compliant courses using Articulate 360 software.
